Foul Bay is a small coastal area in South Australia. It's located on the southern part of the Yorke Peninsula. This spot is right next to the Investigator Strait. It's about 130 kilometers (around 80 miles) west of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia.

How Foul Bay Got Its Name
Foul Bay became an official "locality" (a type of small area) in May 1999. Its name comes from a place called the Foul Bay Shack Site. This site is located on South Coast Road. The area also includes two older "shack sites." These were known as the "Old Wheel Inn Shack Site" and the "Point Davenport Shack Site."
The Lost Town of Nugent
Back in July 1880, a government town was planned near Point Davenport. It was called Nugent. However, this town was never actually built. So, in June 1925, it was officially declared that Nugent no longer existed. In 2012, a part of Foul Bay was added to the nearby town of Warooka.
