A Look Back: Fowlerton's History
Fowlerton was first known as Leach when it was created. A post office called Leach opened in 1895. Later, in 1902, its name was changed to Fowlerton.
The town was once a busy place with many stores, bars, and even its own train station. However, a major event changed everything. The Great Flood of 1913 hit the town hard. The flood waters covered the entire town, leaving buildings and homes deep underwater.
Geography of Fowlerton
Fowlerton covers a total area of about 0.2 square miles (0.51 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
A long time ago, a factory called Meguiar's Catsup & Chili Sauce was located in Fowlerton. This factory was sold in 1955. Today, the factory buildings are old and not in good shape, but some parts of them are still standing.
