The Fox River is a river in southern Illinois that flows into the Little Wabash River. A tributary is like a smaller river or stream that flows into a larger one.
The Fox River starts in Jasper County, southeast of Newton. From there, it flows south past Olney. Finally, it joins the Little Wabash River near Mt. Erie in Edwards County. The river is about 46.4 mi (74.7 km) long.
It's good to know that there's another, smaller Fox River in southern Illinois. This one flows into the Wabash River near New Harmony, Indiana.
