Franklin Coggins (born May 22, 1944 – died October 30, 1994) was an American professional baseball player. He was born in Griffin, Georgia. Frank was a switch-hitter, meaning he could bat with both his left and right hands. He mostly played as a second baseman or shortstop on the field. Coggins was 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 meters) tall and weighed 187 pounds (85 kg). He threw the ball with his right hand.

Early Career and Major League Debut
Frank Coggins started his professional baseball journey in 1963. He played in the minor leagues for several years. His hard work paid off when he made it to Major League Baseball (MLB). He played his first MLB game on September 10, 1967. This was with the Washington Senators.
