Franklin Willis Jackson (born May 4, 1998) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Jiangsu Dragons in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils.

High School Basketball Journey
Starting Strong
Frank Jackson started his high school basketball career at Lehi High School in Lehi, Utah. Later, he moved to Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah for his sophomore year. In 2014, as a sophomore, he scored about 17.9 points per game. He helped his team win the Utah 5A state championship that year.
Junior Year Highlights
During his junior year, Frank averaged 26.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. These great stats earned him several honors, including being named to the Fourth-team Maxpreps All-American list. He also received Salt Lake Tribune All-state honors.
In the summer of 2015, Frank took part in the NBPA Top 100 Camp. He was also invited to play in the Under Armour Elite 24 game in New York City. There, he scored 20 points and was named Co-MVP. He even made an amazing 360-degree dunk during a fastbreak, which everyone talked about!
Senior Year Success
As a senior, Frank continued to shine. He scored 38 points in a close win against Miller Grove High School. In another game, he scored 49 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He also had 32 points and 11 rebounds in a win over St. Joseph.
He averaged 28.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. For his outstanding performance, he was named Utah Mr. Basketball. He was also chosen as a McDonald's All-American in January 2016. In the McDonald's All-American game, he scored 19 points and was named Co-MVP.
Frank was considered a top player in the 2016 high school class. He was ranked among the top 10 or 12 recruits by major sports networks.
Choosing a College Team
Many top colleges wanted Frank to play for them, including Duke, Arizona, and UCLA. He had first committed to BYU as a freshman. However, he later decided to explore other options. On September 1, 2015, Frank Jackson officially committed to play for Duke University.
College Basketball at Duke
Frank Jackson played one season for the Duke Blue Devils. In his very first game on November 11, 2016, he scored 18 points and had 4 assists. The next day, he scored 22 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His strong start earned him the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Freshman of the Week award on November 14, 2016.
He continued to play well throughout the season. On February 28, he scored a season-high 22 points against Florida State. In the ACC Tournament, he scored 15 points in a semi-final win against rival North Carolina. Duke went on to win the ACC Tournament championship.
In his only year at Duke, Frank started 16 of 36 games. He averaged 10.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He was also very good at shooting, making 40 percent of his three-point shots. After his freshman year, on May 12, 2017, he decided to enter the NBA draft.
Professional Basketball Career
Starting in the NBA
On June 22, 2017, Frank Jackson was picked 31st overall in the NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets. However, he was quickly traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. He signed with the Pelicans on July 11, 2017. Unfortunately, he had foot surgery and missed his entire first season.
Frank made his NBA debut on October 17, 2018, playing a few minutes for the Pelicans against the Houston Rockets. On January 7, 2019, he scored a career-high 17 points against the Memphis Grizzlies. He later topped that on February 2, scoring 25 points against the San Antonio Spurs.
In November 2019, Frank continued to show his scoring ability. He scored 21 points in a win against the Denver Nuggets and 23 points in a victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Playing for the Detroit Pistons
In December 2020, Frank signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but he was later waived. On December 27, he signed a contract with the Detroit Pistons. He played for the Pistons for two seasons. In August 2021, he signed a two-year extension with the team. However, in June 2022, the Pistons decided not to keep him, making him a free agent.
He briefly signed with the Phoenix Suns in September 2022 but was waived before the season started.
Time with Salt Lake City Stars and Utah Jazz
In October 2022, Frank joined the Salt Lake City Stars, a team in the NBA G League. He was chosen to play in the G League's first-ever Next Up Game in 2023. On February 22, 2023, he signed a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz of the NBA. After that, he returned to the Salt Lake City Stars.
Playing Overseas
In July 2023, Frank signed with LDLC ASVEL, a team in France that also plays in the EuroLeague. He averaged 10.3 points in six EuroLeague games before leaving the team in November 2023.
Later in November 2023, he signed with the Shanxi Loongs in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played there until February 2024. In June 2024, he signed with Nanterre 92, another French team.
As of November 2024, Frank Jackson is playing for the Jiangsu Dragons in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

Frank's Family Life
Frank Jackson is one of five children. His father, Al Jackson, was a state senator in Utah. Frank is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has lived in different places, including Oregon and Maryland, because of his father's work. Frank currently lives in Sundance, Utah.
