Frank de Kova (born March 17, 1910 – died October 15, 1981) was an American actor. He was known for playing many different characters in movies, on stage, and on TV. He often played strong and interesting roles.

Early Life and Career
Frank de Kova was born in New York City. Before becoming an actor, he was a teacher. He later joined a theater group that performed plays by William Shakespeare. His first big acting job was on Broadway in a play called Detective Story. A famous director named Elia Kazan noticed his talent.
Becoming a Movie Star
Frank de Kova moved to Hollywood to act in movies. He appeared in many films. Some of his early roles included a Mexican Colonel in Viva Zapata! (1952). He also acted with Kirk Douglas in The Big Sky (1952).
One of his most famous movie roles was Abiram in The Ten Commandments (1956). He also appeared in Cowboy (1958) with Glenn Ford and Jack Lemmon. Later, he was in The Mechanic (1972) with Charles Bronson.
Television Roles
Frank de Kova did a lot of work on television. He played a Mafia hitman named Jimmy Napoli in the crime show The Untouchables. He also had a recurring role in Gunsmoke as "Tobeel," a Kiowa Indian who was a friend of Marshal Matt Dillon.
His most well-known TV role was "Chief Wild Eagle" on the comedy show F Troop (1965–1967). He played the chief of the Hekawi tribe in this western comedy. He also guest-starred in shows like The Roaring 20s and Hawaii Five-O.
Later Life
In 1981, Frank de Kova passed away from heart failure while sleeping at his home in North Hills, California. He is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, California.
