František "Frank" Kaberle (born November 8, 1973) is a former Czech professional ice hockey player. He played as a defenceman for over 20 years. He is best known for his time in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for teams like the Los Angeles Kings, Atlanta Thrashers, and the Carolina Hurricanes.

Playing Career Highlights
František Kaberle was chosen by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He was the 76th player picked overall. Later, during the 1999–2000 season, he was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers. He scored his first NHL goal for the Thrashers on April 8, 2000.
After the 2004–05 NHL season was cancelled due to a player lockout, Kaberle joined the Carolina Hurricanes. This was a big move for his career.
Winning the Stanley Cup
One of Kaberle's biggest achievements was in the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals. He scored a special goal in Game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers. This goal, scored during a power play, ended up being the winning goal. It helped the Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup! This was the only Stanley Cup championship of his career.
Later Career in the NHL and Czech Republic
After winning the Stanley Cup, Kaberle faced a challenge. He hurt his shoulder before the 2006–07 season began. He had to miss some games because of this injury. But he came back strong on February 6, 2007, and even scored the winning goal that night.
He played four seasons with the Hurricanes. In 2009, his contract with the team ended. After his time in North America, he went back to his home country, the Czech Republic. He rejoined his first team, HC Kladno. He played two more seasons in the Czech Extraliga, which is the top league in the Czech Republic. He played for HC Pardubice and HC Plzeň before he retired in 2012.

František Kaberle was a very successful player for the Czech national team. He won the Ice Hockey World Championships five times! These wins were in 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2005.
In 2006, he also won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Turin, Italy. That same year, he achieved something very rare. He became one of only a few players to win both an Olympic medal and the Stanley Cup in the same year.
Personal Life
František Kaberle is married to Kateřina. They got married on May 30, 1998. They have two daughters named Francesca and Vanessa.
His brother, Tomáš Kaberle, is also a well-known former NHL player. Tomáš also won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011. Both František and Tomáš played together for the Czech national ice hockey team at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where they won bronze medals.
Their father, František Kaberle, Sr., was also an ice hockey player. He played for the Czechoslovak national ice hockey team.
