Life and Work
Frederick Easson received a good education. He studied at Morgan Academy, the University of St Andrews, and Edinburgh Theological College.
Early Career

Church Roles
After his teaching career, Easson began his work in the church.
- From 1933 to 1936, he was an Assistant Curate at St Peter's Church in Edinburgh.
- He then served as an Assistant Curate at St Aidan's in Craigmillar from 1936 to 1939.
- From 1940 to 1948, he became the Rector of St Peter's Church in Peterhead. A Rector is like the main priest in charge of a church parish.
- After Peterhead, he was the Rector of St Devenick's in Bieldside. He stayed there until he was chosen to be the Dean of Aberdeen and Orkney. The Dean is a senior leader in a diocese, helping the bishop.
Becoming a Bishop
In 1956, Frederick Easson was chosen to be the Bishop of the Diocese of Aberdeen and Orkney. He served in this important role for many years, until 1972. A bishop oversees a group of churches and clergy in a specific area, called a diocese.
