Fresh Beat Band of Spies is a fun animated TV show that aired from 2015 to 2016. It was shown on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.. The show was created by Nadine Van der Velde and Scott Kraft. It's a spin-off from another Nickelodeon show called The Fresh Beat Band. This series has 20 episodes. Even though it's a spin-off, its stories are separate from the original show's timeline.

About the Show
The Fresh Beat Band members are now secret spies! They work together to solve strange mysteries in their town. They use their special talents and cool gadgets to catch villains.
Meet the Characters
Main Spies
- Twist (voiced by Jon Beavers) – He is the funny disc jockey of the team. By day, he manages the Pet Daycare Center.
- Kiki (voiced by Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer) – She is the band's lead guitarist and singer. Kiki owns a local hair salon.
- Shout (voiced by Tommy Hobson) – He is the athletic keyboard player. Shout also works as a lifeguard at the swimming pool.
- Marina (voiced by Tara Perry) – She is the smart drummer of the spy team. Marina is a chemist for a cupcake bakery.
- Bo Monkey (voiced by Tom Kenny) – He is Twist's best friend and a monkey. Bo helps Twist run the pet center.
- Reed (voiced by Tom Kenny) – Reed is a computer expert who gives the Fresh Beats their gadgets. He often appears suddenly from hidden spots.
- Commissioner Goldstar (voiced by Keith Silverstein) – He is the chief of police. Commissioner Goldstar usually congratulates the spies at the end of each episode.
Other Characters
- Champ Von Champ Von Winnerchamp (voiced by Tom Kenny) – This muscular villain loves to steal things. He often takes trophies, wrestling belts, or party supplies. He has a German accent and a cheer squad that helps him steal.
- Lily (voiced by Heaven White) – She is Commissioner Goldstar's niece. Lily is a good friend to the Fresh Beats. She has a dog named Goldie and plays on Shout's baseball team.
- Lil Piggie – This pig has a hot pink mohawk. He lives at Twist's pet center and is a friend of the Fresh Beats.
- Captain Arrrgh (voiced by Tom Kenny) – A singing pirate who steals treasure. He has a chicken named Poulet and a first mate.
- Yi-Haw (voiced by Kate Higgins) – She is a cowgirl and an outlaw. Yi-Haw tries to steal buildings from all over town.
How the Show Was Made
The idea for Fresh Beat Band of Spies was first shared in March 2017. Later that year, in August, Nickelodeon announced they were making the show. It was planned to be released in 2018. From November 2017 to February 2018, some songs from the show were performed live. This happened during "The Fresh Beat Band: Greatest Hits Live" tour. Fans could also buy posters and T-shirts with the cartoon characters.

Where It Aired
Fresh Beat Band of Spies first aired in the United States on June 15, 2015. It then premiered in Canada on Nickelodeon Canada on September 1, 2015. The show also aired on Treehouse TV. It debuted in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on Nick Jr. on January 11, 2016. It came to Italy on January 18, 2016, and the Middle East and North Africa on January 25, 2016. In Australia, it started on February 1, 2016. The series premiered on Nick Jr. UK on February 6, 2016. Channel 5 – Milkshake! also showed the series in 2017. Even after the show ended, reruns continued to air on Nick Jr.
Awards and Recognition
The episode "Singing Pirate" was nominated for a special award. It was recognized for "Outstanding Achievement, Production Design in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" at the 43rd Annie Awards. The series also won a "Fun Stuff" award from the Parents' Choice Awards in 2019.
