Friday Download was a super fun British TV show made just for kids! It was produced by Saltbeef Productions and shown on the CBBC channel. The very first episode aired on May 6, 2011.

This show was all about entertainment and featured a team of presenters who would host different segments, play games, and chat with celebrity guests. It ran for nine series (that's like seasons!) from 2011 until it finished in 2015. The last group of presenters included Molly Rainford, Anaïs Gallagher, Harvey Cantwell, Akai Osei, Leondre Devries, and Charlie Lenehan.

Meet the Presenters

Friday Download had a changing team of awesome presenters over the years. These presenters were the heart of the show, leading all the games, interviews, and challenges. Many well-known young stars were part of the team!

Catching Up on Episodes

Over its four-year run, Friday Download aired many episodes, each packed with entertainment. From exciting games to interviews with famous faces, there was always something new to see.

Tyger vs Challenges

Tyger vs was a popular part of the show during its first four series. In this segment, presenter Tyger Drew-Honey would go head-to-head against another presenter or sometimes a special guest. They would compete in all sorts of challenges, from video games to fun physical activities. It was always exciting to see who would win!

Face Off Challenges

The "Face Off" segment was introduced in the fifth series and brought a new level of competition to Friday Download. Here's how it worked:

  • Two presenters would go against each other in a fun challenge.
  • The person who lost the challenge had to wear a red shirt and stand in the "danger zone" for the next week.
  • The loser from the previous week would then get a chance to challenge a different presenter. If they won, they could escape the danger zone!
  • The presenter who ended up in the red shirt at the end of the series had to face a funny forfeit. It was always a big reveal to see what silly thing they'd have to do!

Behind the Scenes: Production

Friday Download was filmed in different locations over the years. When it first started in 2011, the show was produced at the famous BBC Television Centre in London. In 2013, production moved to the BBC Elstree Centre. For its final two years, from 2014 to 2015, the show was made at The London Studios in Studio 7.
