Shannon May Flynn was born on August 22, 1996. She is an English actress and TV presenter from Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Shannon is well-known for playing Emily James in the BBC school drama Waterloo Road.
She was also a presenter on the show Friday Download and starred in its movie, Up All Night. From 2013 to 2015, Shannon Flynn was a main character in the CBBC children's show, Dani's Castle. In 2022, Shannon stopped acting and moved to Melbourne, Australia.

In 2009, Shannon joined the cast of the BBC One drama Waterloo Road. She played the character Emily James. She worked alongside actress Jenna Coleman on the show.
Starring in Dani's Castle
In 2012, Shannon was chosen for the CBBC children's TV show Dani's Castle. She starred with Dani Harmer. The show began in 2013. A second series started in 2014. The show was so popular that a third series was filmed in 2014 and aired on July 7, 2015.

In 2012, Shannon first appeared on the CBBC children's entertainment show Friday Download. She was a guest presenter. In 2013, she became a main presenter for the show.
In 2014, Shannon was cast in the Friday Download movie, Up All Night. Filming for the movie began on September 6, 2014. Up All Night was released on May 22, 2015. On April 14, 2015, Shannon announced that she would not be returning for the ninth series of Friday Download.
Role in Coronation Street
On March 4, 2016, Shannon Flynn began playing Lauren in the long-running ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. Her character, Lauren, was a bully to Bethany Platt, played by Lucy Fallon. Shannon's last appearance as Lauren was shown on September 30, 2016.
