How Water Flows Through Frith Lake

Lakes like Frith Lake are part of a bigger system called a drainage basin. This means water flows into the lake from some places and then flows out to other places.

Water flowing into Frith Lake

Frith Lake receives water from one main source. An unnamed creek flows into the east side of Frith Lake. This creek brings water from a nearby body of water called Speed Lake.

Water flowing out of Frith Lake

The main way water leaves Frith Lake is through another unnamed creek. This creek flows north from the lake. It then connects to West Shining Tree Lake. From there, the water travels through a series of rivers. These include West Shining Tree Creek, the West Montreal River, and the Montreal River. Finally, all this water joins the Ottawa River, which then flows into the mighty Saint Lawrence River.
