History of Fulton

Early Mining Days

Back in 1847, a company called Forsyth Mining started digging for minerals where Fulton is now. They were looking for valuable metals in the ground.

Later, in 1853, the Fulton Mining Company took over the operations. They dug four new mine shafts, which are like deep tunnels into the earth. Through their hard work, they found lots of copper and silver deposits!
