Andrei Gabriel Torje (born on November 22, 1989) is a professional football player from Romania. He plays as a winger, which is a player who mostly runs along the sides of the field.
In 2011, Gabriel Torje was named the best Romanian Footballer of the Year.

Club Career Highlights
Starting at Politehnica Timișoara
Gabriel Torje began his professional career in the 2005–06 season. He played for Politehnica Timișoara. He scored his first goal in his second match. The famous manager Gheorghe Hagi helped him join the main team.
Moving to Dinamo Bucharest
On January 15, 2008, Torje signed a five-year contract with Dinamo București. The transfer fee was about $2.5 million. He played his 100th game in Romania's top league for Dinamo in May 2011.
Playing in Italy with Udinese
On August 30, 2011, Torje moved to Serie A club Udinese in Italy. He signed a five-year contract. He played his first game in Serie A just five days after joining. He scored his first goal for Udinese in February 2012. Later, in March, he scored a goal that helped his team get a 1–1 draw.
Loan to Granada in Spain
To get more playing time, Torje joined La Liga team Granada on loan in June 2012. A loan means he played for Granada for a season, but his main contract was still with Udinese. He quickly became an important player for Granada. People praised his performance in a 1–0 win against Real Madrid in February 2013.
Loan to Espanyol
In September 2013, Torje went on another loan to a Spanish club, Espanyol. He played 12 games for them but did not score any goals. Because of this, Espanyol decided not to buy him permanently.
Loan to Konyaspor in Turkey
In June 2014, Torje was loaned to Konyaspor, a team in the Turkish Super Lig. He played there for one season.
Returning to Dinamo București on Loan
On February 2, 2018, he rejoined Dinamo București on a loan. This loan lasted until the end of the 2017–18 season.
Joining Sivasspor
In September 2018, Torje went back to Turkey. He signed with Sivasspor.
Playing for AEL in Greece
On February 4, 2020, he signed a contract with AEL, a club in the Greek Superleague. In June 2020, he scored two goals in one game, helping his team win 3–1.
Moving to Bandırmaspor
After leaving AEL, Torje moved to another Turkish club, Bandırmaspor, in January 2021. This team plays in the TFF First League.
Playing for Farul Constanța
On June 3, 2022, Torje joined Farul Constanța in Romania. He signed a two-year deal. However, his contract was ended early in December 2022.
Joining Gençlerbirliği
On January 6, 2023, Torje moved to Gençlerbirliği, another Turkish club in the TFF First League.
International Career
Gabriel Torje was the captain of Romania's under-21 national football team. He made his first appearance for the main Romanian national team in a friendly match in September 2010.
He scored his first goal for the national team in February 2011 against Cyprus. In September 2011, he scored two goals in a game against Luxembourg. He also scored three goals during the qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Romania reached the play-offs but lost to Greece.
Torje was chosen to be part of Romania's team for the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament. He played in a 1–1 draw against Switzerland. He also made short appearances in games against France and Albania. Romania was eliminated from the tournament after losing to Albania.
