Gala started her journey in the fashion world by blogging in 2007. This happened after her fotolog (an early photo-sharing website) became very popular.

Since 2007, Gala has been the creative director for Línea U by Adolfo Domínguez. This is a fashion brand owned by her uncle. In September 2009, Gala launched her very first clothing collection. It was called Music Collection and was made for the Adolfo Domínguez brand. In June 2010, she was chosen to be part of a campaign for Loewe, another famous fashion company.
