History of Galesburg
Galesburg was founded in 1871. Christopher and Elvina Boje gave the land to start the town.
The town was officially planned and mapped out in 1871. This happened when the railroad reached that area. A post office from a nearby town called Rose Hill moved to Galesburg in March 1871.
