Galvin is a small place in Lewis County, Washington, United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it does not have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it is part of the larger county.
Galvin is located near Lincoln Creek and the Chehalis River. It is about four miles (6.4 km) northwest of Centralia. It is also sometimes called Lincoln or Lincoln's Creek.

History of Galvin
Galvin was first planned and settled on June 3, 1910. It began as a place for logging, which is the business of cutting down trees for wood.
How Galvin Got Its Name
The community was first named Lincoln. But just one year later, in 1911, its name was changed. It was renamed Galvin after its founder, John Galvin.
The Galvin Bridge
A bridge over the Chehalis River was built in 1913. This bridge became known as the Galvin Bridge. It was very long, about 280 feet (85 meters). The original bridge was taken apart and a new one was built starting in 1968.
