Where is Gattman Located?
The village is found at specific coordinates: 33.8853865 degrees North and -88.2353142 degrees West. A main road, U.S. Route 278, runs through Gattman. If you travel northwest on this route, you'll reach Amory in about 17 miles. Heading east for about 6 miles will take you to Sulligent in Alabama.
The county seat, Aberdeen, is about 20 miles southwest. You can get there by following US 278 and Mississippi Highway 8. Gattman covers a total area of about 0.56 square miles (1.46 square kilometers), and all of it is land. Just north of the village, you'll find the Buttahatchee River. This river flows west and then south, eventually joining the larger Tombigbee River near Columbus Air Force Base.
