Gebenstorf is a town in Switzerland. It is located in the Aargau region, within the Baden district. Gebenstorf is famous for being the meeting point of three important rivers: the Reuss, Limmat, and Aare rivers.

History of Gebenstorf
Gebenstorf was first mentioned in old records in the year 1247. Back then, it was called Gobistorf.
From Township to Municipality
For a long time, from 1415 until 1798, Gebenstorf was a special kind of area called a township within the county of Baden. A township was like a small administrative area. Even today, the modern town of Gebenstorf still has the same historical borders.
Changes in the Town's Borders
In 1884, two parts of Gebenstorf became their own separate towns. These were the village of Wil and the factory area of Turgi. They decided to form their own independent communities.
