While he was likely born in Boulogne-sur-Mer, some old stories say that Godfrey of Bouillon was born in Baisy. Baisy is now part of Baisy-Thy, which is in Genappe. Godfrey was a famous leader of the First Crusade, a big journey that happened between 1096 and 1099.
