Eugene Edgar Page Jr. (born September 13, 1939 – died August 24, 1998), known as Gene Page, was an American music expert. He was a conductor, composer, arranger, and record producer. He was very active in music from the mid-1960s to the mid-1980s.
Gene Page helped create the sound for many famous artists. He worked with groups like the Righteous Brothers, the Supremes, and the Jackson 5. He also worked with solo singers such as Barbra Streisand, Barry White, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Elton John. His arrangements made their songs sound amazing.
Besides working with other artists, Gene Page also released four of his own albums. He also wrote music for movies. Some of the films he scored include Brewster McCloud and Fun with Dick and Jane. In 1972, he wrote the music for the movie Blacula.
Gene Page had a brother named Billy Page. Billy was also a musician, songwriter, and producer.
Later Life and Passing
Gene Page passed away on August 24, 1998. He was 58 years old. He died at UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, Los Angeles after a long illness.
