Gene V Shinozaki (篠崎 仁, Shinozaki Jin, born May 28, 1991), known as Gene Shinozaki, is a talented Japanese-American beatboxer. He is also a singer, songwriter, and music producer. Gene can play many instruments and often performs on the street.

He used to be known as GVSBeatbox. Today, Gene is part of a famous beatbox group called Beatbox House. He is also one half of Spider Horse, a world-champion tag team.

Gene's Musical Journey

Gene Shinozaki grew up in California. He later moved to Boston to study music at Berklee College of Music. However, he soon left college because he wanted to learn music in his own way.

While touring with his band "DC Wonder," Gene discovered beatboxing. He was inspired after watching an interview with another beatboxer, Reeps One. Gene then decided to become a beatboxer himself.

For over two years, he performed on the street. He started getting gigs and even appeared on TV. Gene was featured on the show So You Think You Can Dance. He performed as part of a beatbox and dance duo called "Movement Box."

In 2013, Gene started competing in beatbox battles. In 2015, he won the Grand Beatbox Battle in Switzerland. This was a big win for him! After that, he became a sound engineer for Beatbox television. He also joined the well-known group Beatbox House.

In 2017, Gene released his first album, "Sound and Human." He is considered one of the top 8 beatboxers in the world.
