George Tyree Fleming (June 29, 1938 – December 6, 2021) was an amazing American who was both a professional football player and a politician. He was known for playing many different positions on the field.

Fleming played college football for the Washington Huskies. He was part of the championship teams in 1959 and 1960. These teams played in the famous Rose Bowl in 1960 and 1961.

After his football career, George Fleming became a politician in Washington state. He served in the state's House of Representatives and then for 20 years in the Senate. He retired from politics in 1990.
