Glasgow Maryhill and Springburn is a special area in Scotland. It is called a constituency. This area helps choose who represents them in the Scottish Parliament. The Scottish Parliament is also known as Holyrood.
This constituency is one of eight areas in Glasgow City. People in this area vote for one person to be their Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP). The person with the most votes wins. This way of voting is called "first past the post."
