Glauchau is a town in Saxony, Germany. It's located near the Mulde river. You can find it about 7 miles (11 km) north of Zwickau and 17 miles (27 km) west of Chemnitz by train. Glauchau is part of the Zwickau area.
How Many People Live Here?
The number of people living in Glauchau has changed a lot over the years. This is called the population. In 1834, about 6,296 people lived there. By 1939, the population had grown to 33,833 people.
After 1946, the population stayed quite high for a while. It was around 34,996 people. However, in more recent years, the number of residents has slowly gone down. In 2009, about 24,684 people lived in Glauchau.
