Glenn E. "Smiles" Mosley (born December 26, 1955) is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He played for teams like the Philadelphia 76ers and San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Mosley played in the NBA for two seasons, from 1977 to 1978. He averaged about 3.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.

After his time in the NBA, Mosley also played basketball in other countries. He played in Italy, France, and Argentina. While playing for CSP Limoges in France, he helped his team win two important championships in 1983. These were the Ligue Nationale de Basketball (the French league) and the Korać Cup (a European competition).

Early Life and College Basketball

Glenn Mosley grew up in Newark, New Jersey. He loved playing basketball from a young age. He decided to play college basketball at Seton Hall University. This university is located nearby in South Orange.

Mosley played for the Pirates team from 1973 to 1977. During his college career, he scored a total of 1,441 points. He also grabbed 1,263 rebounds. Rebounds are when a player gets the ball after a missed shot.

Mosley was especially good at rebounding. His average of 15.2 rebounds per game throughout his college career is one of the highest ever in the NCAA. In his final year, he led all of NCAA Division I by averaging 16.3 rebounds per game.

Professional Career

After his successful college career, Glenn Mosley was chosen in the 1977 NBA draft. The Philadelphia 76ers picked him as the 20th player overall in the first round. This was a big achievement for him.

He played for the 76ers for part of the 1977-1978 season. Later in 1978, he also played for the San Antonio Spurs. After two years in the NBA, Mosley began his international basketball journey. He played for various teams overseas until 1985.
