Golden Grove is found in the western part of Greenville County. It shares its southern and western borders with a community called Piedmont. The western edge of Golden Grove follows the Saluda River. This river also acts as the border between Greenville County and Anderson County.

The main road that goes through Golden Grove is South Carolina Highway 20. If you travel north on this highway, you'll reach Greenville, which is about 9 miles away. Going south through Piedmont, you'll get to Belton, about 16 miles away.
Interstate 185 also runs through the northern part of Golden Grove. It crosses Highway 20 at Exit 10. This interstate can take you north about 4 miles to Interstate 85. If you head east on I-185, you'll reach Interstate 385 in about 10 miles. These interstates help form a loop around the southern parts of Greenville.
