Golden Hills is a community located in the Tehachapi Mountains in Kern County, California. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's a defined area used for gathering population information, but it's not an officially incorporated city or town.
In 2010, about 8,656 people lived in Golden Hills. This was an increase from the 7,434 people who lived there in 2000. Golden Hills is located right next to the city of Tehachapi on its west side.
