Goodland is a small community in Collier County, Florida, United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially governed as one.

In 2020, about 312 people lived in Goodland. This was a bit more than the 267 people who lived there in 2010. Goodland is part of the larger Naples and Marco Island area.

You can find Goodland on the southeast side of Marco Island. It's very close to Cape Romano, which is the southern tip of a nearby island. This spot was where Hurricane Wilma officially made landfall in Florida. Goodland is also a great place to find seafood restaurants and people who offer boat tours.

Goodland's Location and Size

Goodland is located in the southwestern part of Collier County. It's about 6 miles (10 km) east of the beachfront city of Marco Island.

This community is almost completely surrounded by water. To the north, you'll find Goodland Bay. Coon Key Pass is to the east, and Blue Hill Creek is to the south. A man-made waterway from Blue Hill Creek separates Goodland from a forested wetland area that belongs to Marco Island.

The total area of Goodland is about 0.38 square miles (0.99 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 57.47%, is water. The land area is only about 0.15 square miles (0.40 square kilometers).
