Goombi is a small country area in Queensland, Australia. It is located in the Western Downs Region. In 2021, only 56 people lived there. Goombi is also known as one end of the famous Queensland rabbit-proof fence. Its postcode is 4413.

Goombi's Location
Goombi is a quiet farming area. Not many people live close together here.
The main road, called the Warrego Highway, goes through the northern part of Goombi. A railway line, the Western railway line, runs right next to the highway. Goombi has its own railway station.
A Look Back in Time
Goombi has a bit of history with its schools.
Goombi State School
Goombi State School first opened its doors on 16 November 1915. It was located on the south side of the Warrego Highway. This was right across from the Goombi railway station. The school closed down in 1964.
Unity Provisional School
Another school, Unity Provisional School, opened on 16 November 1922. It was located on the border between Goombi and Rywung. This school operated for a shorter time and closed in 1931.
