Goran Bogdan was born on October 2, 1980. He is an actor from Herzegovina and Croatia. He has been in many movies and TV shows since 2005.
Goran Bogdan is known for his roles in international projects. For example, he appeared in the American TV series Fargo and the film Goltzius and the Pelican Company. He also starred in the TV series The Last Panthers. Recently, he was in a short film called The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent (2024), which was nominated for an Academy Award.
Early life and acting journey
Goran Bogdan was born in a place called Lištica (now Široki Brijeg) in Herzegovina. His parents were Croatian.
He first studied at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb. But his passion was acting! So, he started performing at The Zagreb Youth Theater. Later, he went to the Academy of Dramatic Arts at the University of Zagreb, where he finished his acting studies in 2012.
In 2013, he was named the best theater actor by the Teatar.hr Awards. He also won the 2017 Vladimir Nazor Award for his great acting in the film Agape. In 2020, he made history by being the first Croatian actor nominated for a Best Actor award at the European Film Awards for his role in the movie Otac.
Goran Bogdan even lent his voice to a character! He was the voice of McBunny in the Croatian version of the movie Garfield 2.
Today, he lives in Zagreb, Croatia.
