Grand Island Township is a special area in Alger County, Michigan. It's located right by the beautiful Lake Superior.

This township includes Grand Island, which is a fun place called the Grand Island National Recreation Area. Most people who live in the township actually live on a small part of the mainland. This area is near M-28, just north of the city of Munising.

In 2020, only 35 people lived in Grand Island Township. This makes it one of the least populated places in Michigan!
