Grant Bowler is an actor and TV host from New Zealand and Australia. He was born on July 18, 1968. Grant has worked in movies and TV shows in many countries. These include America, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
He is famous for playing Constable Wayne Patterson in the TV show Blue Heelers. He also played Wolfgang West in Outrageous Fortune. You might also know him as Connor Owens from Ugly Betty. He was also the main star, Joshua Nolan, in the science fiction TV series Defiance.
As a TV host, Grant is well-known for leading reality game shows. He hosted The Mole Australia and The Amazing Race Australia. Both of these shows were on the Seven Network.
Since 2004, Grant Bowler has been the voice for Border Security: Australia. He also narrates the Canadian and American versions of the show. These versions are shown in Australia and New Zealand as Border Security: International.

Grant Bowler studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. This is a famous acting school. He also performed a lot in theatre. He toured with the Bell Shakespeare Company.
Early TV Roles
His first big TV role was as Constable Wayne Patterson on Blue Heelers. He played this role from 1993 to 1996. After that, he appeared in other shows. These included Pacific Drive in 1996. He was also in Medivac from 1996 to 1998.
Grant had other roles in shows like Always Greener and Stingers. He also starred in a TV movie called On the Beach. He spent a year on the ABC series Something in the Air. In 2004, he starred in a miniseries called Through My Eyes. This show was about the disappearance of Azaria Chamberlain. From 2004 to 2005, Grant also had a role in All Saints.
Hosting TV Shows
Grant hosted the Australian version of The Mole. He hosted it from 2000 to 2003. He was replaced in 2005 because of family reasons. He also had duties with Border Security: Australia's Front Line. He started as the on-camera host for Border Security in 2004. After the first season, he became the off-camera narrator.
In late 2010, Grant was announced as the host of The Amazing Race Australia. This show was on the Seven Network. He hosted it for three seasons. He did not return for the show's return in 2019.
