Where is Granville South?
Granville South is located in the middle of Licking County, Ohio. It sits in the southern and southwestern parts of Granville Township. The village of Granville is right to its north.
Roads and Travel
Several important roads pass through or near Granville South. Ohio State Route 16 goes through the community. It leads east about 8 miles (13 km) to Newark, which is the main city of the county. This route also goes southwest about 25 miles (40 km) to Columbus, Ohio's capital city.
State Route 37 forms the northern edge of most of Granville South. This highway goes northwest about 21 miles (34 km) to Sunbury. State Route 37 and 161 together form a freeway. This freeway leads west about 20 miles (32 km) to Interstate 270. This interstate is in the northeastern suburbs of Columbus.

The water in Granville South flows northeast into Raccoon Creek. Raccoon Creek is a stream that flows east. It is a branch of the Licking River. The Licking River is part of the larger Muskingum River watershed. This means its water eventually flows south into the Ohio River.
