Greeley Center, also known as Greeley, is a small village in Nebraska, United States. It is the main town, or county seat, of Greeley County. In 2010, about 466 people lived there. By 2020, the population was 402.

Discovering Greeley Center's Past
Greeley Center started as a town in the late 1880s. This happened when the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad built its tracks to this spot. The town got its name because it is located near the middle of Greeley County.
In 1890, Greeley Center became the official county seat for Greeley County. This meant it became the center for government and important county activities. Before this, the county seat was in a different town called Scotia.

- Maurice Lukefahr - He was a leading scientist who studied how plants can resist insects. He also researched ways to control cotton insect pests without harming the environment.
- Jim Sullivan - A talented musician and singer-songwriter. He became famous for his unique music. Sadly, he disappeared in New Mexico in 1975, and no one has seen him since.
