Gregg Binkley (born March 20, 1963) is an American actor. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. You might know him as Kenny James from My Name is Earl or Barney from Raising Hope. He also played Harold in the movie Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation.

Besides acting, Gregg also runs his own business. He teaches acting to others through workshops and classes.

Gregg's Early Life and Career

Gregg Binkley grew up in Topeka, Kansas. He went to Washburn Rural High School and was even the class president in 1981. After high school, he moved to California to pursue his acting dreams. One of his early appearances was as a contestant on the TV game show Classic Concentration in 1988.

He became famous for playing Kenny James on the NBC comedy show My Name Is Earl. He was also the spokesperson for Del Taco, a fast-food chain. Gregg has appeared in many other TV shows too. These include Gilmore Girls, Malcolm in the Middle, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Wizards of Waverly Place.

Before becoming a well-known actor, Gregg had an interesting job. He used to make phone calls pretending to be famous people. One of his favorite characters to impersonate was Don Knotts' character, Barney Fife. Gregg even used this impersonation in a TV movie called Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three's Company.

In January 2024, Gregg Binkley shared his acting knowledge in a book. It's called Get Your Act Together.

Gregg's Family Life

Gregg met his wife, Tokiko Ohniwa, in an acting class. They got married on May 31, 2003. Together, they have three children. Gregg also has a brother named Mike Binkley, who used to be a news anchor.
