What the Show is About
The story of Growing Up Creepie begins when a baby girl named Creepie is left at the Dweezwold Mansion. This mansion is home to a family of insects who act like humans. The bug family takes Creepie in and raises her as their own child.
Now, Creepie has to live among humans who are often scared of bugs. She goes to Middlington Middle School. Creepie must keep her home life a secret. This helps protect both herself and her unusual family.
Meet the Characters
- Creepella "Creepie" Creecher (voiced by Athena Karkanis): Creepie is the main character. She is a teenage girl with a Gothic style, but she is very friendly and kind. She was born with rainbow-colored hair. Her favorite saying is "Wicked". Creepie was left at Caroleena and Vinnie's doorstep as a baby. Her real parents are never shown. She is very protective of her family and all insects.
- Caroleena (voiced by Julie Lemieux): She is a praying mantis and Creepie's adoptive mother. Caroleena is strict but loves to cook. She often jokes about eating her children if they don't listen.
- Vinnie (voiced by Dwayne Hill): He is a mosquito and Creepie's adoptive father. Vinnie looks a bit like a vampire but is a peaceful vegan. He loves to paint and meditate.
- Gnat (voiced by Stevie Vallance): Gnat is Creepie's younger brother, who is a gnat. He often sneaks into Creepie's backpack and causes trouble at school.
- Pauly (voiced by David Berni): Pauly is Creepie's older brother, a pillbug. He loves to eat and is known for being a funny jokester.
- Budge Bentley (voiced by Richard Yearwood): Budge is Creepie's best friend. He is the only human who knows Creepie's secret. Even though he looks big, Budge is a very kind person. He is smart and loves yoga and studying insects.
- Chris-Alice Hollyruller (voiced by Leah Cudmore): Chris-Alice is Creepie's very happy friend and neighbor. Her catchphrases are "Soggy Muffins" and "Super Mega Duper". She is a cheerleader and takes karate. Chris-Alice often signs Creepie up for school activities without asking first. Her name sounds like "chrysalis," which is a stage in an insect's life.
- George Hollyruller (voiced by Scott McCord): He is Chris-Alice's father and the local exterminator. He also coaches football at Middlington Middle School.
- Bunny Hollyruller (voiced by Stevie Vallance): Bunny is Chris-Alice's mother. She is a busy real estate agent. Like Chris-Alice, she is energetic and can be a bit bossy.
- Melanie and Carla (voiced by Athena Karkanis and Stephanie Anne Mills): These are popular girls who are sometimes friends with Creepie. They love shopping, fashion, makeup, and their cell phones. Carla is the leader and often wears her cheerleading outfit. Melanie is a bit silly and loves shiny things and horror movies.
- Harry Helby (voiced by Scott McCord): Harry is the most popular boy at school. He cares a lot about his hair. Melanie and Carla like him a lot, but he seems more interested in Creepie.
- Ms. Monserrate (voiced by Julie Lemieux): She is the principal of Middlington Middle School. She is strict but fair. She is very focused on cleanliness. Her catchphrase is "Detention!".
- Dr. Pappas (voiced by Juan Chioran): He is Creepie's homeroom and science teacher. He is very strict about rules and always watches the students. He calls students by their last names.
- Tarantula Boy (real name: Skipper) (voiced by Dan Petronijevic): He is a boy Creepie likes. He performs at a carnival "freaky" show, appearing to be half-human, half-tarantula. Later, Creepie learns he's a normal kid in a costume. However, he later meets Creepie again and introduces her to his adoptive mother, who is a real tarantula.
- Marge (voiced by Leah Cudmore): Marge is a giant tarantula. She is Skipper's adoptive mother and Caroleena's best friend.
- Dr. Lance Pierce (voiced by Patrick McKenna): He is an entomologist (a scientist who studies insects) at the Middlington Museum of Natural History. He is a minor bad guy in the show.
