Hallock (pronounced HAL-ok) is a small city in Minnesota, United States. It's the main town, or county seat, of Kittson County. In 2020, about 906 people lived there.

History of Hallock
Hallock was first planned out in 1879. The city got its name from Charles Hallock, a famous American writer. Hallock officially became a city in 1887. A post office has been open in Hallock since 1879, helping people send and receive mail for a long time.
Geography and Transportation
Hallock covers a total area of about 2.10 square miles (5.44 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a small part being water.
Two important roads, U.S. Highway 75 and Minnesota State Highway 175, run through the city. These highways help people travel to and from Hallock. The Hallock Municipal Airport is also nearby, just one mile south of the city, making it easy for small planes to access the area.
