Ham Christian Centre is a church located in Lock Road, Ham, which is in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It's a place where people gather to worship and learn about the Christian faith. This church is part of a group called the South East Gospel Partnership.
A Look Back: The Church's Story
The building that is now Ham Christian Centre was first built in 1928. Back then, it was known by a different name: the Ham Free Evangelical Church.
For a while, in 1979, the church stopped holding regular services. But that wasn't the end! In 1998, the building got a big makeover. This renovation was done by the Duke Street Church, Richmond. After this, it reopened and has been active as Ham Christian Centre ever since.
What Happens at the Church?
The church holds a main service every Sunday morning. This is a time for people to come together, sing, listen to talks, and pray.
Besides Sunday services, people who attend the church also have prayer meetings. These meetings are usually held in people's homes. This allows for smaller, more personal gatherings.
Helping the Community
The Ham Christian Centre building isn't just used for church activities. It also serves the wider community. This means that other local groups or events might use the church premises for their own activities.
