Hamlet is a small village in Hayes County, Nebraska, USA. In 2010, 57 people lived there. It has a granary (a place to store grain), an elementary school, a community hall, and two churches. There are no other businesses or services in the village.
History of Hamlet
Hamlet was first called Hudson. A post office opened there in 1890. To avoid confusion with another town named Hudson in Nebraska, the village was renamed Hamlet in 1904. A "hamlet" is a very small settlement, which fit the village well.
