Miley Ray Stewart, also known as Hannah Montana, is a character from the Disney Channel TV show Hannah Montana. She is played by Miley Cyrus. The show is about Miley, a normal teenage school girl who secretly lives a double life as a famous pop star named Hannah Montana.

Her Double Life
Miley Stewart seems like a normal teenager. But she has a big secret! By day, she is a regular student. By night, she transforms into the famous pop star, Hannah Montana. Miley is from Tennessee, but she lives in California with her dad, Robby Ray, and her brother, Jackson. Her dad was also a singer. Now, he is Miley's manager and producer.
Miley's mom passed away when Miley was young. Roxy is Hannah Montana's bodyguard. She always tries to protect the family, even if they don't always want her help!
School Life and Friends
When Miley started at Seaview Middle School, she met her best friends, Lilly Truscott and Oliver Oken. Lilly found out Miley's secret in the very first episode. She snuck into Hannah's dressing room and saw Miley. In the second episode, Oliver had a big crush on Hannah Montana. Because of this, Miley decided to tell him her secret too.
In the second season, Miley, Lilly, and Oliver started going to high school with Miley's brother, Jackson. Having two lives can be tough! Miley often faces funny problems, like sleeping in late for school after a big concert.

Miley has some rivals at school. Amber Addison and Ashley Dewitt are often mean to Miley and her friends. But funny enough, they are huge fans of Hannah Montana! Later on, Miley gets more used to school. She even starts an on-and-off relationship with a famous actor named Jake Ryan.

Miley is known for some funny phrases. When someone says something very obvious, she often says, "Ya think?!" When she is worried or scared, she exclaims, "Sweet niblets!" If someone says something crazy, Miley or Hannah might say something like, "'Washed up ballplayer say what?'" This happened in the episode "Bye Bye Ball."
Beary the Bear
Miley also has a special stuffed bear named Beary. Beary has appeared in many episodes. Miley has had Beary since she was three years old. This was shared in the episode Me and Rico down by the schoolyard. Beary was accidentally broken in the episode "Bye Bye Ball." Jackson was trying to kill a wasp and damaged him. But don't worry, Jackson was able to fix Beary later!
