Jason Earles is an American actor. He is famous for playing Jackson Stewart in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. He also played Rudy Gillespie in the Disney XD series Kickin' It.

Early Life and Education

Jason Earles was born in San Diego, California. His family moved around a lot when he was younger. They lived in Ohio and Washington state before settling in Oregon.

He went to Glencoe High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. After high school, he moved to Billings, Montana. There, he studied theatre arts at Rocky Mountain College. He graduated from college in the year 2000.

Jason Earles' Acting Career

Jason Earles has been acting since 2003. He has appeared in many TV shows and movies. He is best known for his roles on Disney Channel and Disney XD.

Early Roles in TV and Movies

One of Jason's first roles was in the CBS show Still Standing. He played a character named Goran the Invincible. In 2004, he was in the movie National Treasure. He played Thomas Gates, an ancestor of the main character.

In 2005, Jason Earles played Ernie Kaplowitz in the movie American Pie Presents: Band Camp. He also appeared in two episodes of the Disney Channel series Phil of the Future. He played Grady Spaggett, a smart math student.

Starring in Hannah Montana

Jason Earles' most famous role was Jackson Stewart in Hannah Montana. He played the older brother of Miley Stewart, who was played by Miley Cyrus. The show was very popular and ran from 2006 to 2011.

It might surprise you, but Jason was 28 years old when Hannah Montana started. His character, Jackson, was only 16!

Disney Channel Games and Other Projects

Jason also took part in the Disney Channel Games. He was on the Blue Team in 2006. Then, he joined the Red Team in both 2007 and 2008. He also co-hosted Disney Channel's Sing-Along Bowl-athon in 2006. This was a special New Year's Eve show.

In 2009, he voiced a character named Spudnik in the movie Space Buddies. This film was about talking dogs.

Kickin' It and Beyond

Jason Earles later starred in the Disney XD series Kickin' It. He played Sensei Rudy Gillespie. The show started in June 2011 and was very popular. He also directed four episodes of the show.

More recently, Jason Earles worked as an acting coach for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. He also guest-starred in the show's third season. He played Dewey Wood, a camp counselor.

Personal Life

Jason Earles supports his old college, Rocky Mountain College. He has given items from his acting career to help them raise money.

He married Jennifer Earles in 2002. They were married until 2013. On August 12, 2017, Jason Earles married Katie Drysen.
