Jason Daniel Earles (born April 26, 1977) is an American actor, comedian, and director. He is famous for playing Jackson Stewart in the popular Disney Channel TV show Hannah Montana. He also starred as Rudy Gillespie in the Disney XD series Kickin' It.

Early Life
Jason Earles was born in San Diego, California. His family moved around a bit, living in Ohio and Washington state before settling in Oregon. He graduated from Glencoe High School in Hillsboro. Later, he studied theatre arts at Rocky Mountain College in Montana, graduating in 2000.

Jason Earles has had many interesting roles in movies and TV shows.
Early Roles
He played a smart card gamer in the TV show Still Standing. In 2004, he appeared in the movie National Treasure as Thomas Gates. This character was an ancestor of Ben Gates, played by Nicolas Cage. In 2005, Jason was Ernie Kaplowitz in the film American Pie Presents: Band Camp.
Hannah Montana
Jason's most well-known role was Jackson Stewart in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. He played the older brother of Miley Stewart, who was played by Miley Cyrus. The show ran from 2006 to 2011. Jason was 29 years old when the show started, even though his character was only 16!
Disney Channel Appearances
He also appeared twice in the Disney Channel show Phil of the Future as Grady Spaggett, a very smart math student. Jason took part in the Disney Channel Games in 2006, 2007, and 2008. He was also a co-host for Disney Channel's Sing-Along Bowl-athon, a New Year's Eve special in 2006.
Voice Acting and Directing
In 2009, he voiced a character named Spudnik in the talking dog movie Space Buddies. Jason then starred as Sensei Rudy Gillespie in the Disney XD series Kickin' It, which started in 2011. He also directed four episodes of Kickin' It. More recently, Jason has worked as an acting coach for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. He also guest-starred in the show as Dewey Wood, a camp counselor.
Personal Life
Jason Earles supports his old college, Rocky Mountain College, by donating items from his acting career for fundraisers. He married Jennifer Earles in 2002, and they later divorced in 2013. On August 12, 2017, Jason Earles married Katie Drysen.
