Hansika Motwani, born on August 9, 1991, is a talented Indian actress. She is well-known for her roles in Tamil and Telugu films. Hansika started her acting journey as a child artist in Hindi movies. Later, she grew up to play lead roles in many successful films.

Early Life and Education
Hansika Motwani grew up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her family is Sindhi Hindu. Her father, Pradeep Motwani, is a businessman, and her mother, Mona Motwani, is a skin doctor, also known as a dermatologist. Hansika went to school at Podar International School and the International Curriculum School in Santacruz, Mumbai.
Hansika's Acting Journey
Starting as a Child Actor (2001–2010)
Hansika began her career on television. She appeared in popular TV shows like Shaka Laka Boom Boom and Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand. She also acted in the Hindi film Koi... Mil Gaya as a child.
In 2007, when she was just 15, Hansika got her first main role in a Telugu film called Desamuduru. She won an award for being the Best Female Debut actress in South Indian films for this role. After that, she also acted in the Hindi film Aap Kaa Surroor. In 2008, she made her debut in Kannada films with Bindaas. She also starred in the Telugu film Kantri.
Becoming a Star (2011–2015)
Hansika started her career in Tamil films with Mappillai in 2011. Her next Tamil film, Engeyum Kadhal, was a big hit. In the same year, she acted alongside famous actor Vijay in Velayudham.
In 2012, her romantic comedy film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi became a huge success in Tamil cinema. She also received praise for her role in the Telugu film Denikaina Ready. She was even nominated for a Best Actress award for her performance.
From 2013 to 2015, Hansika starred in many successful films. These included Tamil movies like Singam II with Suriya, Aranmanai, Aambala, and Romeo Juliet. She also appeared in Telugu films such as Power.
Recent Films (2016–Present)
In 2016, Hansika continued to act in Tamil films like Aranmanai 2 and Manithan. In 2017, her film Bogan was well-received, and critics praised her acting. She also made her debut in Malayalam films with Villain.
More recently, Hansika has appeared in films like Gulaebaghavali (2018), 100 (2019), and Tenali Ramakrishna BA. BL (2019). Her 50th film, Maha, was released in 2022. She has also starred in 105 Minuttess and Guardian, both released in 2024.
Personal Life
Hansika Motwani enjoys practicing meditation. She has shared that chanting "Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo" helps her relax and focus. She believes that this practice has helped her in both her personal life and her acting career.
Hansika married businessman Sohail Khaturiya on December 4, 2022. Their wedding took place at the beautiful Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur.
