Haris Sohail is a talented Pakistani cricketer. He was born on January 9, 1989. He is known for batting with his left hand. Sometimes, he also bowls with his left arm.
He first played for the Pakistan national team in July 2013. In 2018, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gave him a special contract. This meant he was one of the top players for the season.

Early International Matches
In 2012, Haris was chosen for Pakistan's team to play in a Twenty20 International (T20I) series in Sri Lanka. He was also called up for Pakistan's Test team in 2013 for a tour to South Africa. He made his first One Day International (ODI) match for Pakistan on July 19, 2013.
Great Performances
Haris Sohail showed his skills in a series against New Zealand in 2014.
- In the first ODI, he scored 85 runs without being out. He was named the best player of the match.
- In the second match, he scored 33 runs and took 3 wickets.
- He then scored a quick 39 runs off 28 balls. He also took his best ODI bowling figures of 3 wickets for 45 runs. Pakistan won that game by 147 runs.
- In the last two games, he scored 13 and 65 runs.
- He ended the 5-match ODI series as Pakistan's top scorer with 235 runs. He also took 6 wickets in total.

Cricket World Cup
In April 2019, Haris Sohail was chosen for Pakistan's team for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In his second game of the tournament, he was named man of the match. This was for his excellent score of 89 runs off just 59 balls against South Africa.
