Special Features of the Mosque
The Hassan II Mosque has many unique features. One of the most famous is its retractable roof. This roof can open up, letting sunlight and fresh air into the main prayer hall. It's like praying under the open sky!
The mosque also has a special heated floor. This keeps the worshippers warm, especially during colder times. The building is designed to be earthquake-proof, which means it's very strong and safe.
Inside the Mosque
Inside, the mosque is decorated with beautiful patterns and designs. Moroccan artists and craftspeople worked hard to create the detailed mosaics, carved wood, and marble. It took many years and thousands of workers to build this incredible place.
