Havdhem (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈhâvdhɛm]) is a small town located on the beautiful Swedish island of Gotland. In 2014, about 300 people lived there.
Havdhem is also the name for a larger area, called a "socken." Think of a socken like a traditional district or region. This larger area became an official "Havdhem District" on January 1, 2016.

In 1961, the local government of Havdhem started a special project. They were doing relief work at a place called Havor hillfort in Hablingbo. A hillfort is an ancient fort built on a hill.

During this project, something amazing was found: the Havor Hoard! A "hoard" is a collection of valuable items hidden away. This discovery was a very important part of Havdhem's history.

One of the biggest events each year is the annual Havdhem Market. It's one of the main autumn markets held on Gotland.

There are five official markets that take place on the island between August and October. These include markets in Slite, Havdhem, Kräklingbo, Klintehamn, and Hemse. Each market usually lasts for a whole weekend, offering lots of fun and things to see!
