Helpsters is a fun and educational TV show made for kids. It was created by Tim McKeon and produced by Sesame Workshop, the same people who make Sesame Street. The show first appeared on Apple TV+ on November 1, 2019.
There's also a special short series called Helpsters Help You!. This series came out in April 2020. It was made to give children helpful tips during the COVID-19 pandemic. The idea for Helpsters was first shared by Big Bird from Sesame Street and Cody, one of the main characters from Helpsters. In March 2021, Apple announced that Helpsters would have a third season!
What the Helpsters Do
The show is all about a group of friendly monsters called the Helpsters. They work together in their shop to solve problems for anyone who comes in. They use teamwork and problem-solving skills to figure things out.
The series teaches children important skills. It helps them learn how to plan and follow directions. It also introduces them to basic ideas in computer coding.
Episodes of Helpsters
The show has two main seasons so far. Each season has 13 episodes. The first season aired from November 2019 to April 2020. The second season aired from October 2020 to March 2021.
There is also a special short series called Helpsters Help You!. This series has 6 episodes. It was released in April and May of 2020.
Meet the Characters
The characters in Helpsters are puppets. They were designed and built by a company called Monkey Boys Productions. Here are the main characters you'll meet:
Main Helpsters
- Cody – Cody is the energetic leader of the Helpsters. Cody's positive attitude always gets everyone ready to help. Cody is played by Stephanie D'Abruzzo.
- Mr. Primm – Mr. Primm is the most fancy member of the Helpsters. He has a secret wild side, too! Mr. Primm always wants to help, but he likes to do things the "correct" way. Mr. Primm is played by Martin P. Robinson.
- Scatter – Scatter is the youngest and most innocent Helpster. Sometimes, Scatter can be a bit forgetful or "scatterbrained." But Scatter also comes up with great ideas by thinking in new ways. Scatter is played by Tim Lagasse.
- Heart – Heart is the Helpster with the biggest heart! You need to be careful with the instructions you give Heart. That's because Heart will do exactly what you say. Heart is played by Ingrid Hansen.
- Jackie – Jackie is a close friend of the Helpsters. Jackie shows up whenever they need an extra hand. Jackie speaks in monster mumbles that only the Helpsters can understand. Jackie is played by Jennifer Barnhart.
