Tim Lagasse is an American puppeteer, puppet designer, actor, and director. He was born in 1968 or 1969. Tim has worked on many popular TV shows and movies for companies like Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, Disney XD, and HBO.
He is well-known for playing the main character, Oobi, on Noggin's show Oobi. He also played Crash on Disney XD's Crash & Bernstein. Tim Lagasse has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards. He also received the Jim Henson Memorial Prize in Puppetry in 1991.

About Tim Lagasse
Tim Lagasse was born in Milford, Connecticut. He went to school at St. Mary's School and Notre Dame High School. Later, he studied at the University of Connecticut. In 1992, he earned a special degree called a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Puppet Arts. This means he learned all about making and performing with puppets.
Tim's Puppet Roles
One of Tim's first big roles was playing Mr. Cook on the Nickelodeon show Allegra's Window. He also brought to life the main character, Oobi, on Noggin's Oobi. Later, he played Crash on Disney XD's Crash & Bernstein.
Tim has also performed many other characters on famous shows like Sesame Street and The Muppets. He even worked on the 2008 movie A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa. Besides performing, Tim has also built puppets for companies like The Jim Henson Company.
Teaching Puppetry
Tim Lagasse also shares his knowledge of puppetry with others. He gives talks at places like the Lincoln Center Foundation. He also teaches students at the University of Connecticut's Puppet Arts Program. He shows them modern ways to work with puppets.
In 2011, he led workshops on how to build puppets at the University of Central Arkansas. This was part of Heather Henson's Handmade Puppet Dreams Film Festival. In 2012, he traveled to Haiti to train people in puppet workshops with No Strings Productions.
