About the Show
Weinerville was filmed at Nickelodeon Studios in Universal Studios Orlando, Florida. It was a comedy show where the audience got to join in the fun! The show focused on Marc Weiner and his puppets as they tried to put on a show. At first, the episodes didn't have much of a story. But later in the first season, and especially in the second season, the show started to have more exciting storylines. Weinerville also had three special TV episodes.
Characters
Human Characters
- Marc Weiner - He's the host of Weinerville. Marc often has to solve problems for Dottie or the other characters in town. In the first season, he wore a special Weinerville baseball jersey.
- Kevin Elemeno P. - This character was the "Network Executive." He was played by child actor Travis Robertson and appeared in Season 2.
Puppets
These puppets were unique because they used Marc Weiner's real head with a puppet body! This allowed Marc to interact with them in a special way.
- Dottie - She's the Mayor of Weinerville. Marc usually has to help Dottie with her problems, especially when things get out of control. Her helper is named Zip. Dottie often says, "Oh well, Welcome to Weinerville" at the start of each show.
- Baby Jeffrey - Marc's puppet nephew. He usually introduced Marc at the beginning of each episode and was known for making messes.
- Big Pops - He owned the diner in Weinerville. Big Pops was famous for playing the kazoo with his nose! He mostly appeared in Season One.
- Schnitzel - Marc's sassy parrot sidekick. He was only in Season One.
- Commander Ozone - A space captain who flew the AV-1 Spaceship. He fought evil and saved the universe with his sidekick, Wilson. In Season 1, he was called "Captain Ozone."
- Eric Von Firstensecond - Commander Ozone's evil enemy. He was always trying to take over Weinerville or marry Dottie. Eric only appeared in Season 2.
- Cocktail Frank - He was the bandleader and guitar player for the show's band, "Cocktail Frank And His Weenies."
- Joey Deluxe - A big-shot manager and super entertainment agent.
- Soup Tureen - The host of a segment called That's not Fair, only seen in Season 2.
The characters below were full puppet characters:
- Zip - Dottie's helper who often got into trouble. He was known for his famous scream and crashing into walls!
- Boney - A dinosaur skeleton who lived in the Weinerville jungles. Kids loved him, but he secretly didn't like them! His theme song ended with, "Now get outta here! I'm Boney, I'm Boney, leave me aloney!"
- Pops - In Season One, he was called "Little Pops." He was the local chef who worked with Big Pops. He often argued with Louie but they were still friends.
- Louie - He owned the local laundromat. Louie always argued with Pops, but they usually got along.
- Socko - A hand puppet who used props and made funny, sarcastic gestures when things went wrong.
- Wilson - Commander Ozone's sidekick. He had a squeaky voice in Season One, but sounded like Scotty from Star Trek in Season Two.
- Professor Phosphate - A scientist with green hair who owned Weinerville Labs. He often caused explosions with his inventions, but he usually solved problems too. He joined in Season 2.
- Fufusky - An alien sidekick to Eric von Firstensecond. He could stun people with his "breathe ray" (which was silly string!).
- Berny - He was in charge of bringing out the Weinerizer machine with his tractor.
Other Fun Segments
The show also had other characters played by Marc Weiner himself:
- Captain Bob - A sea captain who wore yellow rain gear and loved to tell puns. He owned the S.S. Bob boat. Audience members would get "soaked" by a "tidal wave" (a bucket of water or slime!) when they visited his boat.
- The Weinerville General Store - Audience members helped demonstrate items in this store. A running joke was that almost everything sold for $13.50. This segment was only in Season One.
- That's Not Fair! - A game show in Season 2 where a kid and an adult answered questions for points. The kids usually won!
- Playland - Marc would choose two audience members to be "Weinerized" and sent to Playland. Here, they played games that tested their skill at controlling puppet bodies. The winner got the "Golden Hot Dog" and sometimes a "Special Topping" (a little green slime on their head!).
- Weinerizer — At the end of each show, Marc would pick two audience members to get "Weinerized" (turned into puppets!). They would enter a machine that made them look like puppets by putting their heads into a hole above a miniature puppet body. They would then compete in a game in Playland.
