Henleaze is a friendly neighborhood in the northern part of Bristol, a big city in South West England. It's mostly a quiet, residential area with lots of houses. Many of these houses were built between the two World Wars. Some older streets from the Edwardian era (early 1900s) are also found here. Henleaze is close to other Bristol areas like Westbury on Trym and Horfield.
Until 2016, Henleaze was also the name of a special area called a "ward" for the Bristol City Council. A ward is like a local district that elects people to represent it in the city government. This ward included nearby places like Golden Hill and Westbury Park. Today, Henleaze is part of the larger Westbury-on-Trym and Henleaze ward.

History of Henleaze
The name Henleaze likely comes from a person named Robert Henley. In 1659, he bought a property that became known as Henley's House. Later, this property was called Henleaze Park.
For a long time, Henleaze was a rural area. It was part of the parish of Westbury on Trym. In 1896, some land between Henleaze Road and Durdham Down was sold. This land was then used to build new homes. Most of the rest of the Henleaze area was developed in the 1920s.
